You live in Benton Township if you live in the Village of Beach Park, the Village of Winthrop Harbor or have an address starting at 38000 going North to the State Line or going West to Bayonne with an address ending at 12999 with the Southern boundary being Edgewood Road.

October 21, 2008 begins distribution for Filing Information & Petitions for the Benton Township Consolidated Election to be held April 7, 2009. Candidates may pick-up forms during regular business hours of the township. Circulation of petitions may not begin until October 28th. Due to Martin Luther King Jr. holiday the first day to file petitions will be Tues. Jan. 20, 2009.
